Often when I am travelling I don't have a set itinerary for the day and prefer to let events unfold as I see them. In the case of the the English Class shoot I was up in Northern Honshu enjoying the igloo festival in the town of Yokote when I was invited by a local school to see their igloos. I asked to speak to the Japanese English teacher and offered her a free 15 minute English lesson in exchange for a portrait shoot with her students. Our portrait shoot took around ten minutes and will always be a very memorable experience having shared a bit about Australia and perhaps leave them with a bit more enthusiasm and confidence about learning English.
